Two Seminars are being planned and will focus on refugee issues here in North Kivu in particular and in RDCongo in general as part of efforts to increase the protection space to refugees.
The proposed New Refugee Law in DRCongo
The Democratic Republic of Congo has a challenge with refugee policies, the current refugee law does not focus on the protection of refugees but looks at them as a problem and prioritizes repatriation in all its forms, generally the existing repatriation exercises are not voluntarily. We are now coming up with a new DRC Refugee Law, and various events will be held in order to get views from stakeholders.
