Joining other organizations of the Civil Society in the Democratic Republic of Congo to observe the general elections
Five persons from COJESKI North Kivu attended this training session of elections observers
Wednesday November 15th, 2023 we joined other Civil Society Organizations to contribute our little efforts in order to provide observers for the elections. Our team attended the first training held in Goma yesterday November 15th, 2023, we hope to provide as many observers as possible in case the funds are available.
But so far we are concerned to observe that there has not been consistent Civic Education, and people remain divided into three parts: Those willing to go and vote, those who do not want to vote and those who want to be paid in order to vote because they also paid money to get the voter’s cards.
As organization due to limited funding we are working with candidates on the issues affecting refugees and internally displaced persons and on issues affecting the youth in general.
