From the verge of death to a new life of a Rwandan refugee women in Goma DRC

Mukeshimana one among successful and resilient refugee women in Goma, North Kivu – DRCongo

“Our father who art in Heaven, give them their daily bread through our hands” Amen.

We came across to this lady on World Refugee Day 2022 when a Journalist from TV5 and French 24 wanted to interview refugees in bad situation, her fellow refugees directed us to her and took us to her home. We found her living in someone’s house which was under construction, this person had pity on her and asked her to stay there with her five children for a while, she was in bad condition, and her children malnourished, during the interview the journalist shed tears when she was explaining about her story.

In April 2023 finally we got a grant from MoneyGram through GlobalGiving and we decided to add her on the list of refugee women who will benefit from starting up capital, which we did.

Today she one among refugees we are all proud off, she is now involved in business activities which helps her to feed her five children. Our intention is now to get more funds in order to support her so that she come overcome poverty and fully support her children with quality education.
