Charity Concert for IDPs in Goma by Lavigerie Catholic Choir from Bukavu South Kivu DRCongo
Visit of the LAVIGERIE Catholic Choir from Bukavu, South Kivu for charity activities to help Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Goma North Kivu. You are all invited for these activities.
Together with the New Dynamic of the Civil Society in North Kivu, the COJESKI North Kivu and Armee du Ciel Choir we are facilitating LAVIGERIE Choir to visit IDPs in Goma for charity activities. This is part of our efforts to mobilize as many people as possible for various solidarity activities to help IDPs.
LAVIGERIE Choir is based at Kadutu Parish in Bukavu, South Kivu, the Democratic Republic of Congo, it is among the popular Choirs in Bukavu, it is composed of people of low income based in Bukavu among them young people who may not have much to offer, however for the last six months they have putting small money aside in order to come to Goma and express their sympathy and solidarity with suffering people in camps. They have also collected whatever they could among themselves and among other people of good will in order to support IDPs.
Deep in their hearts is more that sense on concern towards people in difficult situations, not only to offer the little they have managed to get but also to continue calling upon people of good will to support those who are in need, their presence will help other people to pass again in their memories the horrible situations of IDPs, through their presence it is an appeal for actions both to support people in need with urgent relief aid and also to help people to work towards lasting solutions so that people can finally go back to their villages.
Two activities will focus on IDPs
Saturday August 17th, 2024 visit into IDPs Camps around Goma and distributing what they have prepared,
Sunday August 18th, 2024, the religious Concert in order to raise money which will help IDPs.
The Concert will take place at the Catholic Parish of Mount Carmel, in Goma starting at 2pm. Participants are encouraged to come with at least 2000FC which will help IDPs,
We also get this opportunity to call upon all other groups, choirs, young people, organizations, associations and all kind of initiatives everywhere in the world to also embark of activities which can support IDPs in North Kivu.
We remain available and willing to support all initiatives focusing on helping IDPs.
Mobilizing of people in order to support IDPs is part of our activity also of fundraising for IDPs in Goma in particular and in North Kivu in General.
